In Loving Memory of James “Jed” Dick

1964 – 2026

 

James “Jed” Dick of Napan, New Brunswick, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on March 17, 2026, at the age of 61.

 

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick on September 21, 1964, he was the son of Stuart and Geraldine (Hay) Dick.

 

Jed is survived by wife, Susan (McConnell) Dick; two sons, Alex and Michael Dick of Napan, New Brunswick; parents, Stuart and Geraldine Dick of Napan, New Brunswick; half-brother, Blaine and Robyn Dickson of Red Deer, Alberta; brothers: Allen and Lisa Dick of Glenwood, New Brunswick, Frank and Lorie Dick, Ben Dick and Denise Vienneau; sister, Karen Dick, brothers, Mark Dick and Angie MacColl, all of Napan, New Brunswick, and Darryl Dick of Black River Bridge, New Brunswick; sister-in-law, Nicole Dick of Miramichi, New Brunswick; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Dick.

 

Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and a funeral service followed at 4:00 p.m. from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, with The Reverend Charlene Maguire MacKnight as officiant.  Music for the service was recorded music.  The entrance song was "When I Get Where I'm Going" (Brad Paisley), followed by "In the Arms of An Angel" (Sarah MacLaughlin), and "Hunting and Fishing and Loving Everyday" (Luke Brian), with the recessional being "Hardest Huntin' Season" (Chris Janson).  The eulogy was by Cheryl Jamieson.  A reception followed at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Miramichi, New Brunswick, later in the spring.

 

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Miramichi SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
