In Loving Memory of Janet C. Jardine

1939 – 2023

Janet Christina Jardine (Dick), wife of the late James Jardine of Napan, New Brunswick, passed away at her home surrounded with love from her Sons and Daughters on October 13, 2023, at the age of 84.

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on February 20, 1939, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Hay) Dick. Janet was a Homemaker and along with her husband raised eight children.  She was a member of the St. Andrew’s United Church, UCW (Napan Unit) and the Napan’s Women’s Institute.

Janet is survived by her five daughters:  Dorothy Jardine (Leonard), Bertha Jardine, Shirley Jardine, all of Halifax, NS, Sharon Jardine (Kevin) of Napan, and Tammy Anthony (Stephen) of Ottawa, ON; three sons: James Jardine of Greenwood, NS, and Joey Jardine and Robert Jardine of Napan; four grandchildren: Amanda Jardine (Will) of Greenwood, NS, Kevin Anthony of Ottawa, and Jase and Jillian Jardine of Miramichi. She is survived by her sister, Barbara; brothers, Stuart and Howard; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Margaret; and brothers, John and George.

Words cannot express the appreciation for the kindness, compassion and care shown to Janet by Dr. Losier and Dr. Chan as well as the staff from the Extra-Mural, with special mention to Laura, Whitney, Katherine, Renee, and Nicola. Thank you!

Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 1-2:45 PM. A funeral service followed from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, October 18, at 3 PM with The Reverend Geza Szemok officiating.  Music for the service was recorded music "Where Her Heart Has Always Been" by Alan Jackson and "Scottish Bagpipes - Amazing Grace".  Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
