1984 – 2026

Jason Steven Meuse of Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on January 18, 2026, at the age of  41.

Born in Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick, on December 20, 1984, he was the son of Steven Cunningham and Angela Meuse.  Jason was a Fisherman for all of his working life and enjoyed every minute of it.

Jason is survived by his father, Steven Cunningham; his mother, Angela Meuse; his children, Vada, Violet, and Harlan Meuse; the mother of his children, Shilo Tozer; his grandmother, Rose-May Doucet; and his step-grandfather, Alphonse Doucet; his two sisters, Chantal Jamias and Cindy Meuse; his special niece, Isabella; his special nephews, Shane and Ben; as well as special friend, Arielle Thibeault.  He was predeceased by his grandparents, Leo and Yvette Meuse, and his grandfather, Paul Cunningham.

At the request of the family, there will be no visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sainte-Anne’s Catholic Church, 5353 Route 117, Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick, on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., with The Reverend Father Jean Belisle as Celebrant.  Interment will be held at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
