In Loving Memory of John (Jack) Murphy
1928 – 2024
We are deeply saddened to announce that John (Jack) Murphy passed away peacefully at Bridgeview Hall, Miramichi, NB, on November 25, 2024, at the age of 96.
Born in Napan, NB, on March 3, 1928, Jack was the son of the late Raymond and Mildred (McCallum) Murphy. Jack retired from the Royal Canadian Air Force after 30 years of service. He attended St. Michael’s Basilica.
Jack is survived by his wife Mae, with whom he shared 73 wonderful years; their daughter, Patricia; and son, Kevin, both of Miramichi; Jack also leaves behind seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and his brother, James of Mississauga, ON; as well as many friends on the Miramichi. He was predeceased by his parents; his children: Judith and Charles; four brothers: William, Ryan, Louis, and Edward; and one sister, Mary.
In honour of the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverend Father Antonio Reyes as Celebrant. Interment will be in St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery. The Active Pallbearers include Clyde Johnson, Ron McInnis, Brett Buckley, and Darren McCormack.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Bridgeview Hall for their care and support.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
