In Loving Memory of Joseph F. Richard

1946 – 2023

Joseph Freddie Richard, husband of Angele (St. Coeur) Richard of Miramichi, passed away at Percy’s Place, Miramichi on December 12, 2023 at the age of 77.

Born in Chatham, NB, on May 20, 1946, he was the son of the late Frederick and Mary Louise (Cunningham) Richard.  He was an operator with the DTI and was a member of CUPE 1190 and St. Michael’s Basilica.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Angele Richard; two sons: Jody Richard (April) of Miramichi and Robert Richard of Waterford, NB; two step-sons: James Brown (Cindy) of Devon, AB and Stacey Brown (Misti) of Sevogle, NB; one granddaughter, Sheyene and three step-grandchildren: Christopher, Jon and Megan; three sisters: Margaret Ann Vanvelzen (Nick), Joan Madore (Denis) and Theresa Ann Jenkins (Glen) all of Miramichi; three brothers: Norm Richard of Miramichi, Art Richard (Dawn) of Saint John and Donnie Richard (Colleen) of Miramichi; sister-in-law, Linda Richard of Miramichi; as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, sister, Cookie and brother, Buddy.

Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Friday evening only December 15, 2023 from 6-8 pm.  There will be no funeral service.  Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Percy’s Place or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
