Joseph (Joe) Arthur Briggs
March 23, 1941 – July 7, 2023
Today we mourn the loss and celebrate the life of Joseph Briggs. He passed away early morning on July 7, 2023, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 82.
Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Al and Josephine Briggs.
Joe is survived by his wife Barbara; his four children: Laurie of Coquitlam BC, Doug (Melissa Gallant) of Moncton, NB, Damon (Nancy) of Miramichi, and Timmy (Amy) of Riverview, NB. He leaves behind his four grandchildren: Valerie, Sean, Emily, and Erica. Joe is predeceased by his parents, four sisters and four brothers.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation and special thanks to the staff at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, Dr. Losier, and the staff of the palliative care unit.
As per Joe’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.
In Joe’s memory, donations may be made to the Dr. Gerard and Judy Losier Family Foundation or to a memorial of one’s choice.
