Joyce F. Williams

Joyce Frances Williams of Black River Bridge, passed away peacefully at her residence on June 14, 2021, at the age 73, after a short battle with cancer.

Born on September 26, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Mark and Rhoda (MacDougall) MacDonald.

She is survived by five aunts: Mona (MacDonald) Bryenton of P.E.I., Ponsy (MacDonald) Dickson (Carl) of Miramichi, Mary MacDougall (Alexander) of Saint John, Blanch MacDougall (Bud) of Black River Bridge, and Betty MacDougall (Willard) of Bay du Vin; one uncle, James MacDonald of Woodstock; and many, many cousins. She was predeceased by her parents.

She was employed with Canada Post for many years in Ontario, and in later years in Moncton. She transferred to Miramichi from where she retired after several years, making many good friendships. While in Ontario she started and managed her own business (Whiskers), pet-sitting for neighbours and friends.

Joyce was best known for her kindness to animals and birds. She leaves behind her very much loved cats:  Dennis and Rusty.

She loved to travel to different countries and found much pleasure in vacations and cruises.

Special thank you to her wonderful caregivers: Barbara, Leah, Willa, Debbie, Carolyn, and Jamie, who made her final days as peaceful and comfortable as possible.

A PUBLIC visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home on July 19, 2021. A PUBLIC funeral service was held on July 20, 2021 from the Adam's Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM with Rev.
