In Loving Memory of Keith Dealy
1957 – 2026
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Keith Byron Dealy on April 9, 2026, at Percy’s Place at the age of 68.
Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on May 23, 1957, he was the son of the late Byron and Lorraine (Harlow) Dealy. Keith was a retired orderly of 37 years from Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home. Keith spent many hours volunteering with the Fire Department and many years being the caretaker of Pine Grove Cemetery.
Keith is survived by his loving wife, Brenda (Russell) Dealy; one daughter, Sara Harper (Rachel) of Baie Verte, New Brunswick; two sons: Russell (Candace) of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta and Wesley (Kenda) of Strathadam, New Brunswick; grandchildren: Payton, Carson, Keaton Harper, Brooke, and Emmett Dealy and predeceased by granddaughter, Noa Dealy; two sisters: Susan Dealy of Edmonton, Alberta, and Joanne McLenaghan (Rick) of Black River Bridge, New Brunswick; two brothers: Wayne (Susan) of Victoria, British Columbia, and Gary (Tina) of Musquash, New Brunswick; as well as several nieces and nephews. Keith is also survived by sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Carmel Sobey, Bena and Darrell Saunders and Charlotte Russell. He was predeceased by his parents; and brothers-in-law: Eugene Sobey, John Russell, and Raymond Russell (Ruth).
Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King Street, Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service was held at Knox United Church, 4400 Water Street., Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverend Ivan Gregan as officiant. Music for the service was provided by David Mann and the Loggieville-Black River Joint Choir. The hymns were "Here I Am Lord", and "In the Sweet By and By", "Go Rest High on the Mountain" was sang by Keith Carter and Angela Carter. Eulogies were presented by Sara Harper and Wayne Dealy. The Pallbearers were Percy Comeau, Eric Godfrey, John Gillis, Herbie Jenkins, Billy Walsh, Alan Stevens, Ray Sobey, and Dale Mattinson. The Honorary Pallbearers were Roddy Malley, Wayne Herbert, Gilles Hachey, Dorothy Wilson, Kathy Gorman, Rick McLenaghan, Bruce Stewart, Kelly Godin, Barb Doucet, Greg Connell, Kevin Trevors, Jonathan Harper, Mike Young, Margie Nowlan, Joyce Grey, and Joe Carter. A reception for all was held in the F.B. Loggie Hall following the funeral. Interment will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery at a later date.
Special thanks to Greg Murphy, Dr. Gerard Losier, Percy’s Place and their exceptional staff, Extra-Mural-especially Amanda Clark and Jeff Savage, for the wonderful care given to Keith. Also, thanks to Ambulance NB, Reverend Ivan Gregan, and Linda Hembrough. Special thanks as well to the caregivers Vince Mazerolle, Irene from integrity, as well as Joanne McLenaghan.
