In Loving Memory of Kenneth W. Quinn

1939 – 2025  
 

Kenneth (Ken) William Quinn of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on August 17, 2025, at the age of 85.  

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on October 29, 1939, he was the son of the late Timothy and Lillian (Sullivan) Quinn.   

Ken worked for Lounsbury Automotive Ltd., in sales for 40 many years.  He was a member of St. Michael’s Basilica, Knights of Columbus and Chatham Lions Club. In addition to serving on the Chatham Non-Profit Housing Board, Ken served 28 years on the former Miramichi District Planning Commission.  

Ken is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bernice (Moran) Quinn; one daughter, Lisa Turner (Dennis) of Fort McMurray, Alberta; one son, Paddy Quinn of Miramichi, New Brunswick; one grandson, Liam Quinn and one sister, Marion Jamieson (Allan) of Miramichi, New Brunswick.  He was predeceased by his parents.  

Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael’s Basilica, 10 Howard St., Miramichi on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with The Reverend Father David Rioux as Celebrant.  Music for the service was provided by Mr. David Bunnell and St. Michael's Choir.  The hymns were:  "Here I Am Lord", "The Lord Is My Shepherd", "Lady of Knock", "Amazing Grace", "Ava Maria", "Be Not Afraid", and the recessional hymn was "How Great Thou Art".  The scripture readings were read by Liam Quinn and Greg Morris.  The Prayers of the Faithful were proclaimed by Veronique Arsenault.  The eulogy was presented by Lisa Turner and Paddy Quinn.

Honorary pallbearers were:  Terry Burns, Blair Carroll, Anne Dunnett, Michael Fletcher, Reg Flynn, James Glynn, Jason Harris, Sandy Hilchey, Stuart Keoughan, Lou Matthews, Bo Quann, Ernie Richard, Scott Richard, Faye Sobey, Lois McKinnon, Al Sutherland, Alton Urquhart, and Edwin Young.  A large number of Knights of Columbus were also present and formed Guard of Honour.  Interment was in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Miramichi, New Brunswick.    

As expressions of sympathy, donations in lieu of flowers to St. Michael’s Basilica would be appreciated by the family.
