Kenneth “Kenny” P. O’Neill

          1952 – 2022

Kenneth “Kenny” Paul O’Neill of Miramichi passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at the age of 69.

Born in Chelmsford, NB, on September 14, 1952, he was the son of the late Gerard and Hazel (Hosford) O’Neill.  Kenny worked as a Woods-Worker, Truck Driver, and Taxi Driver for Discount Taxi and Brookdale Nurseries.  He attended St. Edward’s Catholic Church, Chelmsford and then later St. Michael’s Basilica, Miramichi.

Kenny is survived by his common-law spouse, Sherry Harris; four step-children: David (Cloe) of Ontario, Brady of Lower Sackville, Cassondra (Kyle), and Tanikka (Austin) all of Miramichi; three step-grandchildren: Korha Hall, Brielle Harris-Arsenault, and Hazen Knowles-Harris; three sisters: Susan Richard (Leon) of Beaverbrook, NB, Leanne Lynch (Carl) of Barnaby River, NB, and Karla Johnston (Rob) of Scarborough, ON; five brothers: Don O’Neill (Sherry) of Oshawa, ON, Aaron O’Neill (Lois) of Miramichi, David O’Neill (Faye) of Chelmsford, NB, Jerry O’Neill (Wanda) of Chelmsford, NB, and Tony O’Neill (Gloria) of Maple Glen, NB.  He was predeceased by his parents, and sister, Pam.

The family would like to say Thank You to the Palliative Care Unit at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, especially RN Steven Hare.

Visitation will occur at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Monday, May 9th, 2022, from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM.  Funeral service will occur at Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 10th, 2022, at 11 AM with Father Antonio Reyes as Celebrant.  Interment will be held in St. Michael’s Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Mount Saint Joseph Memory Care Unit, Alzheimer’s Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
