In Loving Memory of Kevin Murphy
1957 – 2025
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Kevin Murphy announce his passing at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on July 2, 2025, at the age of 67.
Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on November 9, 1957, he was the son of Mae (Stymiest) Murphy and the late John “Jack” Murphy.
Besides his mother, Kevin is survived by his wife, Joanne (Knowles) Murphy; his children, Maggie Keenan (Gerry), Deryk Murphy (Leigh Ann), and Luke Murphy (Kelsey), all of Miramichi, New Brunswick; and sister, Patricia. Kevin was the proud grandfather of four grandsons, Will, Ben and Joey Keenan, and Nate Murphy; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, John “Jack” Murphy.
Kevin loved spending as much time with his boys as he could, whether it was playing outside or playing games. “Grampy” will be sadly missed by his boys.
Following Kevin’s wishes and the wishes of his family, there will be no visitation. A private service took place at Adams Funeral Home Chapel on July 7, 2025, with The Reverend Father Antonio Reyes officiating. Interment was in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Miramichi, New Brunswick.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Sean Losier, Dr. Gerard Losier, and the hospital staff who took such great care of Kevin.
Arrangements were entrusted to Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, telephone (506) 773-3492. Additionally, messages of condolence may be shared online at www.adamsfh.ca
