Kimberly N. Edwards Obituary
In Loving Memory of Kimberly Edwards
1983 - 2026
With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our sweet Kimberly Nadia Edwards on January 7th, 2026.
Kimmy was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on March 15th, 1983, daughter of Martha (MacDonald) Moran and William Edwards.
Kimberly is survived by her mother, Martha; daughter, Aleeya Edwards; sisters, Jaclyn Edwards, Vanessa MacDonald Moran, Jessie Blitt; brothers, Brad, Scott, and Adam Moran, and Jamey Edwards. Kimmy is also survived by her loving grandparents, Jim and Bea MacDonald, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews within the MacDonald, Moran, and Edwards families. Kimberly was predeceased by her father, William; step-father, Kevin; sister, Celine; and grandparents, Maurice and Margaret Edwards.
Family and faith meant everything to Kimmy. She had a large, forgiving heart, and would do anything to help others. She shared her grandparents’ love for baking and gardening. In her younger years, Kimmy enjoyed any activity outdoors such as cross-country running, cycling, and swimming (especially in the “Bowie pool”). She loved art and sketching, which were ways in which she could express some of her feelings. Kimmy also showed kindness to animals, most recently working diligently to save and nurture her two premature kittens, Smartie and MooMoo.
We will cherish our memories of Kimmy. Please remember her by an act of kindness to someone in need.
A private service was held with The Reverend Father John Fraser as Celebrant. Music for the service was Nadia's Theme, recorded music, "The Lord Is My Shepherd" and "Hail Mary/Gentle Woman" sung by Mary Moran and "Wonderful World" recorded music sung by Sofia and Giulia Martinez. The scripture readings were read by Melanie Richards and Colleen Moran and the Prayers of the Faithful was proclaimed by Vanessa MacDonald Moran. The eulogy was presented by Jaclyn Edwards. Interment will be in the spring at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Miramichi, New Brunswick.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Miramichi Emergency Shelter for Women, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Miramichi Food Bank, Percy’s Place, or Elizabeth Fry Society of New Brunswick.
