In Loving Memory of Lawrence Adams
1937 – 2025
Lawrence James Adams of Miramichi, New Brunswick and formerly of Black River Bridge, New Brunswick, passed away at Mount St. Joseph on December 23, 2025, at the age of 88.
Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on May 27, 1937, he was the son of the late Hazen Harding and Eunice Adams. Lawrence was a painter by trade. A member of AA for 46 years and served as Group Service Representative and New York delegated committee. He loved hunting and fishing and took great pleasure in carpentry.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Audrey (Williston) Adams; son, Mark Adams (Joyce); one daughter, Cathy (Vernon); one grandson, Nathaniel Adams; one great-granddaughter, Amber MacDonald; one brother, Frankie Belding (Grace); one sister, Diane MacDonald (Dale); as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Eunice (Adams) Belding, his step-father, Frank Belding; father, Hazen Harding from Tabusintac; grandson, Tony Martin, brothers: James, Tony, Wilfred, Jarvis and Grant; sisters: Sheila and Laura.
We would like to thank special family friend Julie Lambert for all her devotion to us all. We want to say thanks to Billy and Carolyn McFarlane for all the visits to our dad and mom. Thank you to all the staff at Mount St. Joseph for the care and concern for our dad and thank you to Kathy Durelle for keeping our dad supplied with his western books he loved to read.
In keeping with families wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cemetery later in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Mount St. Joseph would be appreciated by the family.
