Linda Lou Carter
1952-2021
Linda Lou Carter, wife of Ron Carter of Miramichi, NB, passed away suddenly at home on August 26, 2021, at the age of 69.
Born in Tracadie, NB on July 20th, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Beverly (McLeod) Stymiest. She was an adherent of St. Andrew’s United Church. Linda was a Homemaker, and was also a Clerical Support Worker. She had beautiful gardens and loved gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Carter; daughters: Kari Carter (Joey Hachey) of Miramichi, and Sarah Carter (Terry McFarlane) of Miramichi; sons: John Carter (Laura) of Miramichi, Greg Carter (Faye Bellavance) Grand Bay-Westfield, NB; sister: Ann McKeil (Don) of Lindsay, ON; and six grandchildren: Carter, Chelsea, Abby, Elizabeth, Leon, and Annie. She is predeceased by her parents: Jack and Beverly Stymiest.
By request, there was no visitation. A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021 at Riverside Cemetery, Miramichi, NB at 11 AM with The Rev. Charlene Maguire-MacKnight as Officiant. The eulogy was presented by daughter, Sarah Carter. The harmonica was played by son, Greg. A special reading was read by nephew, Chris McKeil. The closing song was a recording of "The Dock of the Bay" by Otis Redding. There was a reception that followed at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chatham.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Miramichi Food Bank, or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
