Lloyd M. Jones
1937 – 2021
Lloyd Mervan Jones, husband of Betty Jones of Black River Bridge and formerly of Ontario, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on November 6, 2021, at the age of 84.
Born in Toronto, ON, on July 17, 1937, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Rita (Garvin) Jones. He was a Police Officer in Toronto for a few years, later becoming a Machinist with Cooper Industry. He was the President of a snowmobile club in Stratford, ON, and also enjoyed boating, four wheeling and being in the outdoors.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Betty (Fowlie) Jones; one daughter, Lee Ellen of Ontario; one son, Wynn of Ontario; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois of Ontario; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; son, Stephen; and sister, Margie.
By request there will be no visitation. A PUBLIC graveside service will be held at Black River Community Cemetery on Monday, November 15, 2021, at 11 AM, with The Reverend David Allan officiating.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
