Louise G. Cook
1942 – 2022
Louise Gertrude Cook passed away at Miramichi Regional Hospital on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at the age of 79.
Born in Redmondville NB on December 30, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Elizabeth (Sullivan) Cook. She was a Registered Nursing Assistant and worked for many years at Stratford General Hospital. After retiring she worked retail in many different jobs. Louise was a member of St. Michael’s Basilica.
She is survived by one son, Derrick Cook of Bolton Ontario, who she raised with love and devotion; three grandchildren: Jessica, Lexi (Kalvin) and Noelle, also the center of her world as well as Linda Chaffe, their mother; two sisters: Lorraine Gray (Rheal), and Aggie Fosheim, both of Miramichi. three brothers: Paul Cook (Myrna) of St. Margaret’s, Hughie Cook (Shirley) of Hamilton Ontario., and Brian Cook (Colleen) of Glenwood; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; six sisters: Marie, Beryl, Pat, Marjorie, Eileen, and Jeannie; as well as one brother, Wendall.
As per Louise's wishes, a private service was held for immediate family members only at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church with Father John Fraser as Celebrant. The scripture readings were read by Betty Blanchard and Sheila Fitzpatrick. The Prayers of the Faithful were proclaimed by Betty Blanchard. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
