In Loving Memory of Mabel M. Clancy

1932 – 2025

 

Mabel Mary Clancy of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at Percy’s Place on November 30, 2025, at the age of 93.

 

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick on May 15, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Phil and Carrie (Moar) Rogers.  She was the last surviving member of her family, and the youngest of seven children.

 

Mabel was a Registered Nurse Assistant for 30 plus years, and a member of St. Michael’s Basilica.

 

Mabel is survived by her seven children: Blair (Suzanne) Clancy, Patricia (Kevin) McCarthy, Eileen Teslenko, Michael (Audrey) Clancy, Kelly (Dan) King, George (Linda) Clancy, and Erin (Annie) Clancy; 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Sandy (Slade); sister-in-law, Marie Rogers; and brother-in-law, Frank Clancy; as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Blair Clancy; son, Keith Clancy; grandson, Corey Richard; three brothers: Harold Rogers, Tom (Mayme) Rogers, and Art (Marie) Rogers; and three sisters: Phyllis (Tom) O’Shaughnessy, Jean (Jim) Kane, and Laura (Bob) Blais.

 

Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Thursday evening, December 4, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Michael’s Basilica, 10 Howard St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with The Reverend Father David Rioux as Celebrant.  Words of Remembrance were prepared by Patricia McCarthy and shared by Eileen Teslenko.  Scripture readings were read by Colleen McCarthy and Kathleen Cunningham.  Prayers of the Faithful were proclaimed by Kathleen Cunningham.  The Active Pallbearers were Caleb Tozer, Jeff Tozer, Ryan McCarthy, Devin King, Buddy Rogers, Brandon Clancy.  The Honorary Pallbearers were Kathy Rogers, Margie Flett, Johnny Moar, David Rogers, Tom O'Shaumessy, and Frank Clancy.  Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery later in the spring.

 

As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
