In Loving Memory of Marian E. MacDonald
1932 – 2023
Marian Elizabeth MacDonald, wife of the late Eldon MacDonald of Montreal, QC, and formerly of Moncton, NB and Black River Bridge, NB, passed away at the Royal Victoria Hospital – Glen Site in Montreal on September 7, 2023, at the age of 91.
Born in Boom Road, NB, on June 24, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Annie (Cain) Connors. She worked as a cashier in Montreal.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Doris Cowan (Cliff) of Lasalle, QC; her son, Ron MacDonald (Annette) of Moncton, NB; five grandchildren: Tim (Micheline), Bob, (Tamara) Cara (Yves), Stephanie ; three great-grandchildren: Alex, Liam Damien, and Tamylia; five sisters: Inez Metivier of London, ON, Florence Donovan of Miramichi, Anna MacDonald of Miramichi, Ruth Longtin of Montreal, and Marjorie Lefebvre of Boom Road; one brother, Kenneth Connors (Claudia) of Boom Road; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Eldon MacDonald; two sisters: Edith and Dorothy; and four brothers: Harold, Arthur, Robert and William.
Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Saturday, September 16th, 2023 from 1:00-2:45 PM. Funeral service followed at 3 PM from Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Milette as Officiant. Music for the service was by Pianist, Barb Somers. The congregational hymns were: "Softly and Tenderly", "How Great Thou Art", "Old Rugged Cross", and "Into the Garden". The Active Pallbearers were: Freddie Harris, Brian MacDonald, Tim DeVries, Bob Martin, Robert Cowan, and Liam Cowan. Interment was be in Black River Community Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
