Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on November 2, 1940, Norma Crawford was the daughter of the late George and Jeanette (Leroux) Fowler. After graduating from high school in St. Adolphe, she began a successful career at the Bank of Nova Scotia before becoming a dedicated stay-at-home mother, later transitioning into a fulfilling career as an entrepreneur in Ontario. She embraced both the joys of work and the bonds of connections with family and friends. Deeply rooted in her faith, Norma was Catholic at heart, faithfully attending both St. Michael's Basilica and St. Andrew's United Church in Miramichi. Her spirit of giving was ever-present as she eagerly lent a hand to those in need, she was always ready to support the community often through song and catering wherever possible.
A lover of music, Norma’s beautiful voice resonated in many choirs in Pickering and on the Miramichi. She truly believed in this phrase “God gives the heart a voice to sound it’s joy and calls it music.”
Schooner Point by the water, held a special place in her heart, where countless cherished memories were made with family and friends. Norma’s legacy of faith, family, friendship and community will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her kindness and devotion.
