In Loving Memory of Marilyn Hay

1936 – 2025

Marilyn Jane Hay of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on March 21, 2025, at the age of 88.

Born in Picton, Ontario, on November 5, 1936, she was the daughter of the late William and Edith (Mastin) Juniper.  She was the last surviving member of her family.

Marilyn is survived by her two daughters: Lori Hay (Mike Gadou), and Diana Gauvin; grandchildren: Michael Rochon (Natasha), Christopher MacLean (Cindy), Tanya MacLean (Darren MacDonald), and Tammy Chambers (Chris); great-grandchildren: Samantha, Jessica, Emily, Justin, Leslye, Stephanie, Mandy, Cameron, Erika, AJ, Alyssa, Brandon, Xander, and Caleigh; seven great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Leslie Hay; granddaughter, Cheryl Boucher; sisters: Patricia, Betty-Anne, Jeannette, and Dorothy; and brother, William.

As per Marilyn’s request, there will be no visitation.  Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Nate Bartlett officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the New Brunswick Heart & Stroke Foundation, Miramichi SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
