Martin Horace Dickson

1969-2020

Martin (Marty) Horace Dickson, husband of Jocelyne (Barnabè) Dickson passed away unexpectedly at the Moncton City Hospital on Monday, October 12, 2020 at the age of 51.  

Born in Miramichi, NB on January 18, 1969, he was the son of Ken and Diane (Olsen) Dickson of Napan.  

Marty was a Machinist by trade for many years and was currently employed by Sandvik as a Product Advisor.  He was a loving husband, son, and family member who was a hard worker, skillful with his hands, and a friend of many.  

He is survived by his wife Jocelyne; step-sons:  Jadrien Sherman (Kathleen) of Lower Sackville, NS, Matthew Sherman of Toronto, ON, and Peter Sherman of Winnipeg, MB; step-grandchildren:  Drake, Theresa and Shane; parents, Ken and Diane; brother, Steve (Natalie) Dickson of Napan; and sister, Carla (Len) Allison of Strathadam, NB.  Marty is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  

A visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St. Miramichi on Friday, October 16th, from 2-4 PM, and 7-9 PM.  At the request of the family, there will be no funeral service.

Due to the evolving New Brunswick COVID-19 situations in zones 1 & 5,  and in compliance with the GNB mandatory orders, please be advised that for the visitation of Martin "Marty" Dickson, visitors will be rotated into the building so that no more than 10 people are in the funeral home at a time.  Face masks are required both indoors and outdoors on the funeral home property as you wait to go inside.  Please remember that physical distancing must occur not only indoors, but outdoors at the funeral home as well while waiting to visit the family.  All visitors are to sign-in upon entrance to the funeral home.   Thank you in advance for your patience and compliance as we safely navigate these COVID territories together.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation, Brain Injury Canada or to a charity of the donor`s choice would be appreciated by the family.
