In Loving Memory of Mary Dow-Brown

1956 – 2026 

 

Mary Ann Dow-Brown of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on March 11, 2026, at the age of 70.

 

Born in Saint Andrews, New Brunswick, on January 6, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Miriam and Ernest Brown Sr.

 

Mary is predeceased by her husband, Glen Dow of Canterbury, New Brunswick; her parents, Miriam and Ernest Brown Sr. of New River Beach, New Brunswick; her sister, Brenda; and brother, Ronnie.

 

Mary is survived by her daughter, Donna (Sylvio); her son, Charles; many grandchildren, who she loved very much: Hayley (Ashish), Dominick (Emma), Raven (Bryson), Chelsea (Tyson), Kimmy, and Willow; three great-grandchildren: Paisley, Beaudey, and Elihah; six sisters, who loved her dearly: Kathleen, Ernestine (Paul), Ernest Brown Jr., Pam (Blake), Olive (Calvin), and Dorothy (Wilfred).  Mary also was very thankful for her dear friend, Marielle, who took care of her in the last few months of her life.

 

Mary enjoyed knitting many things for the kids and grandkids.  Mary also really enjoyed going to the beach and seeing lighthouses.

 

Respecting Mary’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  After cremation takes place, her cremated remains will be spread in New River Beach at a later date.

 

As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
