In Loving Memory of Mary Williston

1933 – 2023

The passing of Mary (Logie) Williston occurred on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, in Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada.

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick on July 17, 1933, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Elizabeth Logie.

Mary and her husband, Gerald (“Jerry”) raised their family in Piscataway, New Jersey, and after Jerry’s retirement they moved to Indian Rocks Beach, Florida until 2013.

She loved the Miramichi and moved back to Canada in 2014 after the loss of her husband, Jerry.  She enjoyed spending her summers at their cottage in Bay Du Vin Beach.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Sharon, of the Miramichi; son, Gerald (Martina), of Lake Worth, Florida; three grandchildren: Hayley (Joe), of Charlotte, North Carolina, Clay,  of Miami, Florida, and Kelly of Deerfield Beach, Florida; and one brother, Ian, of Victoria, British Columbia.  She was predeceased by her husband; her parents; one brother, Robert; and one sister, Carol.

A memorial service will be held at the Calvin Presbyterian Church, 37 King St., Miramichi on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 1 pm with The Reverend Ross Wiseman officiating.  Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy donations to the Calvin Presbyterian Church, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
