Melita “Lee” Jane Squires
1949-2022
Melita “Lee” Jane Squires, wife of Frederick J. Squires of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at the age of 73.
Born in England, United Kingdom, on January 5, 1949, she was the daughter of both the late Walter D. Phillips and Patricia Phillips (Ovendon).
She was a Payroll Clerk for many years, and member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church.
Besides her husband, Frederick, Lee is survived by her two sons: Terrance Squires (Sherry) of Fredericton, NB, and Scott Squires of Hamilton, ON; one sister, Jo-Anne Edwards (Frank) of Cambridge, ON; one brother, Edward D. Phillips (Pam) of Fort Erie, ON, and seven grandchildren: Maxwell, Austyn, Nathan, Karli, Katie, Cody, and Kalan.
By request there was no visitation. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 11 AM from Adams Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverend Perry Cooper as Officiant. Music for the service was provided by Claire Fracker/Guitarist, and Vocolists: Joanne Edwards singing "Amazing Grace", and Bill Skerry singing "Because He Lives". The scripture reading was read by Claire Fracker.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
