In Loving Memory of Merina Dickson

1938-2024

Merina Ann Dickson, wife of the late Harold Dickson, of Miramichi N.B., passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on May 27, 2024, at the age of 86. A life-long homemaker and loving mother to her six children, she attended St. Michael’s Basilica, and was also active in care for seniors.

Born in Chatham N.B. on January 4, 1938, she was the daughter of the late James and Theresa (Arseneault) Manuel. Merina is survived by one daughter, Tina Cooper (Bill) of Miramichi; five sons: Bill Dickson (Barb) of Miramichi, David Dickson (Gladys) of Miramichi, Bud Dickson (Laurie) of Kingston, Ont., Brent Dickson (Nerissa) of Kingston, Ont., and Brian Dickson (Nicole) of Kawartha Lakes, Ont.; her sister Rita Russell; numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends also mourn her passing. Merina was predeceased by her brothers: Felix, Ronnie, and Del; and a sister, Betty Bourque.

As per Merina’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at St. Michael’s Cemetery at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Percy’s Place would be appreciated by the family.
