In Loving Memory of Michael “Mike” Foster

1961 - 2024 

Michael “Mike” Elzie Foster of Hoyt, NB, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on May 4, 2024, at the age of 63.

Born in Perth-Andover, NB, on February 16, 1961, he was the son of the late Elzie and Maxine (Hudson) Foster.  Mike worked for J.D. Irving (JDI) for 32 years at Industrial Security as a Supervisor.  He had a true love and passion for hunting, and fishing was also a great pastime for him.  His love for the woods and nature made him want to go and be in it.  He truly enjoyed being a part of Oromocto Community Church, in Oromocto, NB.

Mike is survived by his fiancé, Kim Stewart; two daughters: Ashley Foster of St. Stephen, NB, and Chantele Foster (Andrew) of Miami, FL; two sons: Michael Foster of St. Stephen, NB, and Cameron Storey (Madi) of Red Deer, AB; three grandchildren: Emma, Ryan, and Andrew; as well as sister, Rebecca Moulding (Ken) of Calgary, AB.  He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Colleen Foster; and nephew, Jared Moulding.

Visitation was held at First Pentecostal Church, 8 Hazelton Rd., Doaktown, NB, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.  Funeral Service was held at First Pentecostal Church on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 1 PM with Pastor Mike Hennessey, and Pastor Brent Stewart as Officiants.  Music for the service was provided by Pastor Brent Stewart, Pastor Mike Hennessey, Pastor Keith Carter, and Becky O'Donnell.  The songs included:  "Sheltered in the Arms of God", "I Speak Jesus", "Because He Lives", "Heaven's Point of View", and "Scars in Heaven".  The Eulogy was by Cameron Storey and Thelma Stewart.  The Active Pallbearers were:  Billy Stewart, Randy Carter, Paul Stewart, Dwight Dunnett, Cameron Storey, and Delbert Arbeau.  A special Guard of Honor was formed by members of JDI Industrial Security.  Interment will be in the First Pentecostal Church Cemetery, Doaktown.

The family would like say thank you to all the amazing nurses and doctors on the oncology floor 5A South for there great care and love for Mike.
