In Loving Memory of Minnie P. Simpson

1946 – 2023

Minnie Peggy Simpson of Miramichi, passed away at Shannex, Bridgeview Hall, on December 27, 2023, at the age of 77.

Born in Little Branch, on October 3, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Mary (McLeod) Adams.  She was a Homemaker and attended Calvin Presbyterian Church.

Minnie is survived by two daughters: Wilma Gray (Duane) of B.C., and Beverly Sharp (James) of Texas, USA; one son, David Simpson (Yolanda) of Napan; three step-children: Al Simpson (Dorothy), and Janet McLaughlin of Miramichi, and John Simpson (Debbie) of N.W.T.; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren; five sisters: Eunice Wilcox (Tom) of Winnipeg, Marguerite Barry (The Reverend Robert), Hilda Rocca (Ray) of Saint John, Pauline Adams, and Norma Mutch (Scott) all of Miramichi; three brothers: Arthur (Lylla) of Napan, Dennis of Little Branch, and Brian (Davida) of Miramichi; sisters-in-law: Ann Craik and Kim O’Brien; as well as many nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, William (Bill) Simpson; step-children: Bernie (Bev) Simpson, Agnes (Charlie) McCarthy, and Bill Simpson; siblings: George, Alfred, Don, Christine, Auley, and Jackie.

At Minnie’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A celebration of her life will be held at Riverside Cemetery later in the spring. 

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
