In Loving Memory of Norman Perry
1954 – 2026
Norman Joseph Perry of Lower Newcastle, New Brunswick, passed away at the Dr. George Dumont Hospital on May 14, 2026, at the age of 72.
Born in Newcastle, New Brunswick, on February 25, 1954, he was the son of the late Everett and Estelle (Rousselle) Perry. Norm spent years working in auto parts sales with Right Choice Auto, where he built many lasting connections through his expertise and easygoing personality. Norman found great joy in drag racing, and he will be fondly remembered for his quick wit, his straight-faced sense of humour, and for the decades he spent as Newcastle’s trusted local bicycle repairman.
Norman is survived by his wife, Ann Marie (Kinsella) Perry; one son, Derrick Perry (Krista) of Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia; one daughter, Tammy Costello (Derrick) of Miramichi, New Brunswick; step-daughter, Marsha Matchett (Rosaire); stepson, Craig Mazerolle (MaryAnn); his six grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Brycen, Aubree, Adalyn, Logan, and Eliana; one brother, Ronnie Perry (Heather) of Miramichi, New Brunswick; his only sister, Shirley Falconer (Rick) of Springhill, Nova Scotia, their two children, Perry and Dianna; and his devoted dog, Ginger. He was predeceased by his parents; grandson, Lukas Costello; and nephew, Colby Perry.
Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd, 140 King Street, Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at Adams Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00 p.m., with The Reverend Charlene Maguire MacKnight officiating. Music for the service was recorded music and the songs were "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me, "When I Get Where I'm Going" by Brad Paisley, "To Where You Are" by Josh Groban and "Go Rest High On That Mountain" by Vince Gill. The lighting of the memory candle was done by Tammy Costello. The scripture readings was read by Shirley Falconer and the eulogy was presented by Iona Mersereau. Interment was held in St. Michael's Cemetery Columbarium.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Miramichi SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
