In Loving Memory of Patricia “Patty” Flieger

1963 – 2025

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear Patricia "Patty" Lynn Flieger of Miramichi, New Brunswick, at Mount St. Joseph on August 27, 2025. at the age of 61.  She was surrounded by her family.

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on December 18, 1963, she was the daughter of the late George and Bertha (Roach) Flieger. 

Patty was involved with Special Olympics and attended the Vocational Program at M. O. R. E. Services for many years. Her greatest joys were bingo, country music, and her family.  She attended St. Michael’s Basilica.

Patty is survived by one brother, Ian Flieger (Stella) of Miramichi, New Brunswick; two sisters: Jane Norris (Garth) of Creston, British Columbia, and Beth Brennan (late Fred) of Fredericton, New Brunswick; as well as nieces and nephews: Robbie Clarke (Debbie), Scott Brennan (Maggie), Jillian Cann (John), Barry Brennan, Meghan Colepaugh (Justin), and Andrew Flieger (Erika); and several great nieces and nephews: Samantha, Jake, Logan, Myles, Ella, Ivy, and Enora.  She was predeceased by her parents; brothers: Ted and Ronald; and sister-in-law, Sheila.

Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael’s Basilica, 10 Howard St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Monday, September 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with The Reverend Father David Rioux as Celebrant.  Music for the service was provided by Mr. David Bunnell and St. Michael's Choir and the hymns were "Here I Am Lord", "The Lord Is My Shepherd", "In The Garden", "Ave Maria", "Songs Of The Angels" and the recessional hymn was "On Eagles Wings".  The scripture readings was read by Erika Flieger and the eulogy was presented by Meghan Colepaugh.  The honorary pallbearers were members of the Special Olympics and the pallbearers were Logan Brennan, Andrew Flieger, Justin Colepaugh and John Cann.  Interment followed in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Miramichi, New Brunswick. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Residence La Belle Vie in Baie-Sainte-Anne and Mount St. Joseph in Miramichi, 3rd and 4th floor for taking such good care of Patty.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Special Olympics Miramichi, Mount St. Joseph or M.O.R.E. Services would be appreciated by the family.
