In Loving Memory of Paul D. Thomson
1952 – 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul Douglas Thomson of Bridgeview Hall, who passed away after a brief illness on September 2, 2023, at the age of 71.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, Paul was the eldest son of the late John and Muriel (Frost) Thomson. He is survived by his brother, Stephen Thomson, of Saint-Basile-le-Grand, Québec, several cousins on the Miramichi and around the country, as well as the many friends he made over the years and held dear in his amazing memory!
Paul was an incredibly special soul with an intense love for music. He spent his life sharing that joy with everyone he met. He also enjoyed television series, movies, bowling, and spending time with his friends and family. His smile and caring manner added to everyone’s day, and he will be missed by all those he encountered in his journey through life.
A funeral service was held at Adams Funeral Home Chapel, 140 King St., Miramichi, NB, on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 11AM with The Reverend Charlene Maguire MacKnight as Officiant. Music for the service was provided by Mary Moran. The entrance hymn was "Amazing Grace". Other hymns included "The Lord's My Shepherd", "Songs of the Angels", with the recessional hymn being "How Great Thou Art". They eulogy was by Stephen Thomson. The Active Pallbearers were: Wayne Blakely, Kalon Harding, Stephen Irving, Wayne Moran, and Cecil Preston. Interment followed at Moorefield Cemetery in Millbank, NB.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, or to a charity of one’s choice.
