Paul E. Boucher Obituary

In Loving Memory of Paul Emile Boucher

1955 – 2025

It is with saddened hearts that Maurice Boucher, Carmel Golding, Patricia Boucher and Marc Boucher announce the death of their brother Paul Emile Boucher on October 29, 2025, at Percy’s Place at the age of 70 years.

Paul lived his life on his own terms, but this did not diminish our love for him.  As a young man, Paul worked for Albert Power for several years before coming back to Miramichi.  Here he worked as custodian at the Miramichi Exhibition Building for over 20 years.

Paul Leaves behind his brothers and sisters, two sons: Tal Boucher and Aaron Boucher, both of Alberta, along with sisters-in-law: Janice Boucher and Diane Boucher, brothers-in-law: Merle Milson and Richard Golding, and several nephews and a niece.

Paul was pre-deceased by his parents Edmond and Thérèse Boucher as well as the mother of his sons, Alice.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gerard Losier who cared for and befriended Paul for many years. Thanks also to the staff and volunteers at Percy’s Place who went above and beyond to provide Paul with kindness, comfort and care in his last weeks. And finally, a world of thanks to Geraldine McIntyre and her wonderful staff at Eastside Special Care Home where Paul lived during these last five plus years. With their care and love he was welcomed as family and indeed became part of their family. Angels truly do walk among us.

Visitation for Paul was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St. Miramichi, New Brunswick on Monday, November 3rd, 2025, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Michael’s Basilica, 10 Howard St., Miramichi, New Brunswick on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, at 11 AM, with The Reverend Father John Fraser as Celebrant.  Music for the service was provided by Mr. David Bunnell and St. Michael's Choir and the hymns were "How Great Thou Art", "The Lord Is My Shepherd", "Be Not Afraid", Here I Am Lord", "On Eagles Wings" and the recessional hymn was "Go Now In Peace".  The scripture readings was read by Maurice Boucher and Carmel Golding.  The Prayers of the Faithful was proclaimed by Carmel Golding and the eulogy was presented by Patricia Boucher.  The honorary pallbearers were Fred O'Brien, Bill MacFarlane, Reggie Flynn, Arnold Flynn, Dr. Gerard Losier, Debbie Strang, Lorretta Robinson, Joe Arsenault, Emile Bourque, Geraldine McIntyre, Chandra Lynch, Kim Robichaud, Connie Martin, Paula Taylor, Chantal Gauvin, Stella Jardine, Stacey Tucker, Diane Walsh, Ida Holland and Michael Keating.  Interment was in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
