In Loving Memory of Paul L. Seaman

1949 – 2025

 

Paul Lawrence Seaman of the CI Road in Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on December 17, 2025, at the age of 76.

 

Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, on August 5, 1949, he was the son of the late Jack and Lillian (Davis) Seaman.  Paul was born in Moncton, New Brunswick but grew up in Shediac, New Brunswick and went to school in Shediac and then Moncton.

 

Paul was a Military Police Man from 1967 – 1974 and had postings in Moise, Quebec, Chatham, New Brunswick and Lahr, West Germany.  He then operated Dolftar Boarding & Training Kennels and bred quality German Shepherds.  He was a long-haul truck driver from 1998 – 2015.  Upon retirement he did leather works and sold them at farmers markets in Miramichi, Moncton and Shediac, New Brunswick.

 

Paul truly enjoyed sports and played hockey as a goalie and loved playing fastball as a pitcher.  His true passion was watching the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays play.

 

Paul is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Seaman (Godfrey); one son, Dwain Seaman (Erica) of Miramichi, New Brunswick; two grandchildren: Rebecca and Austin; one sister, Jacquelyn Greening (late Robert) of Ottawa, Ontario; brothers-in-law: William Godfrey (Elizabeth) of Moncton, New Brunswick and Edgar Godfrey (Diane) of Black River Bridge, New Brunswick; sisters-in-law: Alberta Barry and Bonnie Godfrey of Napan, New Brunswick; as well as nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, infant sister, Petra Marie, brothers-in-law: Albert Godfrey, Jack Barry and Robert Greening.

 

As per Paul’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service.  Interment will be held at Black River Community Cemetery, Black River Bridge, New Brunswick later in the spring.

 

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the New Brunswick Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or The New Brunswick Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
