R. Clinton Clark
1947 – 2023
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Raphael “Clinton” Clark, of Chatham, NB, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on February 22, 2023, at the age of 76.
Devoted husband of 44 years, to Eva (Hart); loving Dad to Tanya Clark of Mississauga, ON; Proud Grandad of Amber-Leigh Clark of Thunder Bay, ON.
Clinton is also survived by his sister Rose (Bob) Jeppesen of New Denmark, NB; brother, Thomas (Irene) Clark of McKinleyville, NB; sister-in-law, Mary Clark of Nelson Miramichi; brother-in-law, Jack Hotham of Moncton; long-time friends Matthew Brown and Roger Stucky both of Mississauga, ON. Clinton will be remembered in the hearts of his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents George and Agnes “Maude” (McIntosh) Clark; sister, Darlene Hotham; brother, Royce Clark and niece, Andrea Hotham.
Clinton was born in Newcastle, NB, on February 3, 1947. He was a dedicated fork lift operator at Cott Beverage for 30 years. Clinton had an incredible love for deer and moose hunting. Upon retirement Clinton moved back home to Chatham, NB. He was a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 582 in Mississauga, ON.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Miramichi Regional Hospital’s Emergency and ICU teams for their dedicated care and compassion during this difficult time.
Visitation occurred at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 12-2 PM and funeral service followed at 2 PM from Adams Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverend Father Dan Bastarache as Celebrant. Music for the service was recorded music and the hymns were "Here I Am, Lord" by John Michael Talbot and "Be Not Afraid" by Robert Kochis. The scripture readings were read by Clinton's niece January Rose Browne and nephew Jordy Jeppesen. A celebration of life will be held in Mississauga, ON, at a later date. Interment will be held in the McKinleyville Cemetery summer 2023.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
