In Loving Memory of Raymond H. Trevors
1929 – 2024
Raymond Henry Trevors, husband of Hazel Trevors of Miramichi, NB, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on April 18, 2024, at the age of 94.
Born in Harcourt, NB, on November 8, 1929, he was the son of the late Arthur and Margaret (Wedge) Trevors. Raymond's career started with the Korean War, then the Royal Canadian Air Force, and then Commissionaires expanding over 40 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #3, and St. Michael’s Basilica.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Hazel (Keoughan) Trevors; one daughter, Debbie Rinas (Rick) of Regina, SK; two sons: Gary Trevors of Moose Jaw, SK, and Mike Trevors (Carrie) of Red Deer, AB; two step-daughters: Stacey Keoughan (Chris), and Darlene Keoughan, all of Miramichi; one step-son, Stephen Keoughan of Northwest Territories; nine grandchildren: Jennifer, Sheldon, Kristen, Brett, Craig (Darcy), Alyssa, Bryce, Keira, and Caleb; six great-grandchildren: Braydon, Nora, Violet, Grady, Blair and Nevaeh; three brothers: Mervin Trevors, Arnold Trevors, and Edward Trevors (Diane), all of Miramichi; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; first wife, Eileen (MacDonald) Trevors, son, Brian; three sisters: Jean, Marion, and Margaret; and four brothers: Sterling, Artie, Kenny, and Walter.
Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael’s Basilica, 10 Howard St., Miramichi, on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 11 AM with The Reverend Father John Fraser as Celebrant. Music for the service was Mr. David Bunnell and St. Michael's Choir and the hymns were "See Ye First", "Here I Am Lord", "On Eagles Wings", "Be Not Afraid", "In The Sight Of The Angels" and the recessional hymn was "How Great Thou Art". The scripture readings were read by Keira Wood and Blair Trevors and the Prayers of the Faithful was proclaimed by Debbie Rinas. The eulogy was presented by Debbie Rinas.
Honorary pallbearers were Mervin Trevors, Arnold Trevors, Edward Trevors, Wilfred Knowles, Norman Knowles, Lyle Knowles and Plen Dickson. Pallbearers were Mike Trevors, Rick Rinas, Blair Trevors, Caleb Wood, Tony Malley and Mervin Malley. Interment was in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
