Raymond "Joey" Richardson

        1981 – 2022

Raymond Joseph "Joey" Richardson of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at his residence on September 29, 2022, at the age of 40.

Born in Newcastle, NB, on December 4, 1981, he was the son of Cynthia (Richardson) MacDonald and the late Steward Mossman.  He was a Painter and Drywaller by trade.  He was Catholic by faith.

He is survived by his mother, Cynthia MacDonald (Darrell) of Miramichi; two daughters: Daton Richardson of Moncton, and Kourtney Richardson of Miramichi; one son, Andrew Richardson of Miramichi; grandmother, Eileen Richardson of Miramichi; two brothers: Jonathan MacDonald (Carrie) of Hampton, NB, and Bradley Russell (Sarah) of Miramichi; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  He was predeceased by his grandfather, Raymond Richardson; father, Steward Mossman; grandparents, Anne and Donald Mossman; grandmother, Mary A. MacDonald; aunts: Margaret Richardson, and Janet Mossman; as well his uncle, Steven Mossman. 

Visitation occurred at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial occurred at St. Michael’s Basilica, 10 Howard St. Miramichi, on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at 11 AM with The Reverend Dan Bastarache as Celebrant. Music for the service was provided by Jacqueline Allain.  The hymns were:  "On Eagles Wings", "The Lord is my Light and my Salvation", "The Old Rugged Cross", "Do Not Let Your Hearts be Troubled", "Lamb of God", and "Amazing Grace".  The scripture readings were read by Billy Young and Pat Clancy.  Prayers of the Faithful were proclaimed by Pat Clancy.  The Urn-Bearer was Jonathan MacDonald.  Interment was in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Nelson, Miramichi.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Miramichi Mental Health Services, or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
