Rheal D. Gray
1945 – 2022
Rheal Donald Gray, husband of Lorraine (Cook) Gray of Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on August 13, 2022, at the age of 77.
Born in Chatham, NB, on April 17, 1945, he was the son of the late Alban and Irene (Vautour) Gray. Rheal was a Heavy Equipment Operator, and attended St. Michael’s Basilica.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Cook) Gray; one daughter, Kim Duthie (Keith) of Miramichi; one son, Stephen Gray (Crystal) of Miramichi; one grandchild, Clayton; one sister, Gloria Daigle (Norman) of Pointe-Sapin, NB; two brothers: Donald Gray (Ghislaine) of Pointe-Sapin, NB, and Ernest Gray (Angela) of Saint- Louis de Kent, NB. He was predeceased by his parents.
A public visitation occurred at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael’s Basilica on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 11 AM with The Reverend Father John Fraser, and The Reverend Father Leon Creamer as Celebrants. Music for the service was provided by Soloist, Carlos Villamizar, and Organist, David Bonnell. The entrance hymn was "Be Not Afraid". The other hymns included: "The Lord is My Sheppard", "Prayer of St. Francis", "Here I am Lord", and "Song of the Angels". The recessional hymn was "Into Your Hands". The First Scripture Reading was read by Betty Blanchard. The Second Scripture Reading was read by Sheila Fitzpatrick. The Prayers of the Faithful were proclaimed by Betty Blanchard. Interment will be held in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Michael’s Basilica, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
