Ricky H. MacDonald
1960 – 2021
Ricky Hal MacDonald, husband of Kim MacDonald of Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on April 12, 2021 at the age of 61.
Born in Chatham, on March 30, 1960, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marion (McKnight) MacDonald. He was a Power Engineer by trade. He attended St. Andrew’s United Church, and was a member of the Douglastown Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Kim (Manderville) MacDonald; two daughters: Samantha MacDonald (Jacob Creamer) of South Esk, and Sabrina MacDonald (AJ Curran) of Napan; four grandchildren: Jade, Axton, Aiden and Sophia; one sister, Cindy Lyons of Miramichi. He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Walter MacDonald.
A private visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home. A private funeral service was held at St. Andrew’s United Church with Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight as Officiant. Music for the service was provided by Mike Davis. The songs were: "Here I Am, Lord", On Eagles Wings", and "Be Not Afraid". The recessional song was "Into Your Hands". Lighting of the Memory Candle was by Samantha MacDonald and Aiden Creamer. Remembrances were written by Kirby Williston and read by Elizabeth Price. A poem "He is Gone (Remember Me)" was read by Lib Hachey. Honorary Pallbearers were: Kirby Williston, Brian Bernard, Pie (David) O'Reilly, Greg McLaughlin, Sam Shirley, Blair Carter, Hayward Sturgeon, David Whitney, Bill Skerry, Ivan Breau, and David Mersereau. Active Pallbearers were: Corey MacDonald, Sabian MacDonald, John Lyons, Jason Peterson, Dylan Peterson, Isaac Standring. Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
