Robert Fowlie
1943 – 2019
Robert Fowlie of Barrie, ON and formerly of Black River Bridge, NB passed away peacefully in Barrie on January 21, 2019 in his 76th year, with family by his side.
Born in Moncton, NB, on July 1, 1943, he was the son of the late Edgar and Iona (Cameron) Fowlie. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed time spent hunting, fishing, and exploring on his ATV. He was an accomplished carpenter, and took pleasure in building his home in Black River, a cabin, a boat, and furniture for his family.
Survived by his loving wife Andrea Merilda (Turbide) Fowlie. Beloved father of Brad (Kim), Chris (Julie) and Michelle (Trevor) and grandfather of Jordan, Nick, Josh and Rachel. Treasured stepfather of Chris Preston and Shawn Preston, and step-grandfather of Paige and Jaime. Cherished brother of Reg (Susan) and uncle to nieces Stephanie, Natalie and Melanie.
Friends will be welcomed to visit with the family on Friday July 12 from 2–4pm and 7–9pm at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi. The funeral service will be held on Saturday July 13 at 1pm at St. Stephen’s United Church in Black River Bridge.
