It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” MacKeloney Marshall on January 12th, 2025, at age 84.
He was born on September 26th, 1940, in Thorburn, Nova Scotia, to John and Alexina Marshall.
Bob spent 36 years with the Royal Canadian Armed Forces. He started with the Blackwatch, and then completed two tours, one in Cyprus, and in Golan Heights, Syria. His military career started in Gagetown, NB, later taking him to Germany, Moncton, back to Gagetown, and Calgary, before he ending his career in Miramichi, where he and Marion called home. In his free time, Bob also enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting with his sons.
Bob is survived by his wife, Marion (Sinnis) Marshall of Miramichi, NB; sons: Stephen (Connie) Marshall of Greenwood, NS, and Martin Marshall of Miramichi, NB; brothers: Jack (Judy) Marshall, Howard (Jean) Marshall, and Paul Marshall; and sister, Jaclyn (Jack) Fanning. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Kimberly Marshall of Victoria, BC, Katelynn (Damian Smith) Marshall of Middleton, NS, and Brandon and Jessica Marshall (James MacMillan) of Miramichi, NB; as well as his great-grandchild, Eric Smith.
Bob was predeceased by his brother, Joey Marshall.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 pm, on January 15, 2025, at Eagles Funeral Home Chapel, Westville, NS, with a service to follow at 2:00 pm, with The Reverend Andrew MacDonald officiating.
