In Loving Memory of Robert “Bob” Joseph Theriault

1949 - 2024 

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert “Bob” Joseph Theriault, husband of Albertine (Doiron) Theriault, announces his passing on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, Miramichi, NB, at the age of 75.

Born on May 28, 1949, in Chatham, NB, Robert Joseph Theriault was the son of the late Anthony and Anita (Rouselle) Theriault. 

Robert “Bob” will be remembered as a loving Husband to Albertine for 45 years, loving Father, and beloved “Papa”.  He was a dedicated worker, and worked for over 30 years at Cassidy Beverages Ltd. as a Shipper/Receiver, before enjoying retirement.  He was a fun-loving, easy-going man who loved to joke around.  He also loved movies, and was an avid collector of action and western movies. He was Catholic by faith and an adherent of St. Michael’s Basilica. 

Robert “Bob” is survived by his wife, Albertine; daughters:  Pauline Theriault, and Andrea Theriault (Gerry Morris); and son, Philip Theriault, all of Miramichi; his granddaughter, Emily Theriault, whom he adored; brothers:  Norman Theriault (Maria) of Miramichi, Ronnie Theriault (Rita) of Miramichi, and Donnie Theriault of Windsor, ON; as well as sister-in-law, Carol Theriault of Hamilton, ON.

Besides his parents, Robert “Bob” was predeceased by his brother, Anthony “Tony” Theriault; infant brother, Lenard Theriault; and sister-in-law, Lynn Theriault. 

Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, NB, on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 2-4 PM, and 7-9 PM.  A Funeral Mass was held at Adams Funeral Home Chapel, 140 King St., Miramichi, NB, on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 11 AM, with The Reverend Father Antonio Reyes as Celebrant.  Music for the service included recorded songs:  "Loved Me That Way" by Lauren Duski, and "Daddy's Hand" by Holly Dunn.  The scripture readings were read by Monique Theriault, and the Prayers of the Faithful were proclaimed by Tara Hanscom.  The Honorary Pallbearers were: Gerry Morris, Joe Ryan, Justin Dewolfe, and Noah Theriault.  The Active Pallbearers were: Brandon Russell, Richard Russell, Paul Doiron, Paul Theriault, Tony Theriault, Mike Theriault, Mark Theriault, and Aaron Theriault.   Interment followed in St. Michael's Cemetery. A reception followed the interment and was held at Adams Funeral Home. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Gerard Loiser, Dr. Rigley and the Staff of 2 West at the Miramichi Regional Hospital.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Diabetes Canada, NB Heart & Stroke, or Canadian Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
