In Loving Memory of Robert E. McKnight

1942 – 2023 

Robert Erwin McKnight, husband of the late Norma McKnight of Napan, New Brunswick, passed away peacefully at home on May 20, 2023, at the age of 80.

Born in Napan, NB, on September 8, 1942, he was the son of the late Walter and Stella (MacInnis) McKnight.  He was an Industrial Painter by trade and attended Carmel United Church.

Robert is survived by one daughter, Mary Bliss (Charles) of New Maryland, NB; two sons: Bobby McKnight (Jennifer) and William McKnight (April) all of Ontario; four grandchildren: Maddie, Jack, Libby and Jacob; niece, Tammy Woods and nephew, Sheldon McKnight.  He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Norma (Whelan) McKnight; son, Allan McKnight; sister, Marion MacDonald; brother, Wayne McKnight; niece, Cindy Lyons; and nephews: Walter and Ricky MacDonald.

A funeral service occurred at Adams Funeral Home Chapel, 140 King St., Miramichi, NB, on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 2 PM, with The Reverend David Allan as Officiant.  The Memorial Candles were lit by grandchildren, Maddie and Libby Bliss.  The Eulogy was by daughter, Mary Bliss. The Honorary Pallbearers were:  Jack Bliss, Randy Jardine, Jacob McKnight, Raymond McKnight, and Tammy Woods.  The Active Pallbearers were:  Charles Bliss, John Lyons, Cory MacDonald, Billy McKnight, Bobby McKnight, and Sheldon McKnight.  The Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery. A reception followed at the Carmel United Church, Napan.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
