Robert L. McDonald
1940 – 2023
Robert Loring McDonald of Miramichi, passed away at Shannex-Losier Hall, on January 22, 2023, at the age of 82.
Born in Chatham, NB, on August 27, 1940, he was the son of the late John “Jack” and Bernice (Price) McDonald. Robert was a business owner of McDonald Hardware Store for many years. He also drove an oil delivery truck. For many years Robert played the organ for different churches in the area.
He is survived by his partner, Joanne McIntyre; two sons: Robert McDonald of Edmonton, AB, and Bruce McDonald (Candice) of Calgary, AB; as well as two grandsons: Jack and Hudson. He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, John McDonald.
At Robert’s request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will occur at the Riverside Cemetery later this summer.
The family would like to take the time to thank Dr. Arthur Losier and all the staff at Losier Hall, especially the nurses on O’Reilly Court for all the kindness and compassion they gave to Robert. It will not be forgotten.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
