In Loving Memory of Robert W. Wilson
1935 – 2026
It is with profound sadness and love that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, Robert William Wilson of Miramichi. Bob passed away quietly, surrounded by family on June 6, 2026, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital.
Bob was born on December 13, 1935, in Napan. He was the son of William and Susan (Dickson) and lived on the farm with his family until he settled in Chatham. It was here he was employed by the Town of Chatham (Public Works) and served his community for 35 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Ann (Ross); and his children, Donna (Peter Seymour), and Ross (Wendy LeBlanc). Bob adored his grandchildren: Megan (Aubrey), Erin (Alex), Krysti (Cris), and Kalen; and his great-grandchildren: Addy, Archer, Keira, Myles, and Pearce.
Bob came from a large family. He is survived by his brother, Henry and his wife Karen; and his sisters: Maye Tozer, Brenda (John Jardine), and Colleen (Hugh Dickson); and sister-in-law, Faye Wilson. He is predeceased by sisters, Vesta (Earl) and Marie (Ben); brothers, Ronnie and Jim; and brother-in-law, Gerry.
Bob has left a legacy of integrity, resilience and love. He was a beloved husband, devoted to his wife and family, and has passed down his values to us.
Bob valued a person’s word, a strong work ethic, enjoyed a dry, quick wit, and a good home cooked meal. He was a huge sports fan, taking enjoyment from watching hockey and baseball. His greatest joy was in being with his family, and he carried a special place in his heart for his grand and great-grand children. He loved taking them fishing, never missing their hockey or baseball games, sharing stories about what life was like when he was young, and tinkering on his tractor or other machines.
Bob will be forever missed and affectionally remembered by us all, both in our hearts and through our memories and stories we share.
A private, family only graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery with the Reverend Charlene Maguire MacKnight officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to The Canadian Cancer Society or Riverside Cemetery, and would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, Miramichi, New Brunswick, E1N 2N9, telephone (506) 773-3492. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.adamsfh.ca
