In Loving Memory of Sandra Elizabeth Wyld
July 22, 1961 – June 15, 2026
Sandra Elizabeth Wyld of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on June 15, 2026, at the age of 64.
Born at Hotel Dieu Hospital in Chatham, Miramichi, on July 22, 1961, Sandra was the beloved daughter of Elizabeth (Betty Lou Maher) Wyld and the late Rodney Wyld. She spent her first 15 years in Chatham, where she enjoyed skating and swimming before moving to Ontario. Eleven years ago, she returned to her hometown of Miramichi, where she remained close to family, friends, and the community she loved.
Sandra worked as a Special Care Worker for many years and truly loved the people she cared for. Her compassion, dedication, and genuine concern for others made a lasting impact on the lives of many clients and coworkers throughout her career.
Sandra is survived by her son, Brian; her biological grandson, Nate; her mother, Elizabeth (Betty Lou Maher) Wyld; her sister, Tanya Wyld; her brothers, Gary and Gregory Wyld; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Sandra recently resided at Williams Special Care Home, where she formed many meaningful relationships. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her caregivers, Ashley and Jennifer, for the exceptional care, kindness, patience, and friendship they showed Sandra every day—even when she occasionally kept them on their toes.
Sandra lived life on her own terms and embraced the things that brought her happiness. She looked forward to Wednesday night radio bingo, enjoyed trips to the casino, and was rarely without a Coke Zero close by. She also loved Scott’s famous stir-fries and smash burgers and cherished spending time cuddling and spoiling Teddy the Cockapoo with plenty of treats.
Sandra’s independent spirit, sense of humour, and love for those around her will be remembered by all who knew her. She was taken far too soon and leaves behind many treasured memories.
As per Sandra’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Williams Residence would be appreciated by the family.
