Shawn W. Malley Obituary

In Loving Memory of Shawn Wallace Malley

September 16, 1984 – December 25, 2025

With hearts full of sorrow, the family of Shawn Wallace Malley announces his passing at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on December 25, 2025, following a courageous four-year journey with Congestive Heart Failure. He was 41 years old.

Born on September 16, 1984, in Miramichi, New Brunswick. Shawn was the beloved son of Rosemary Lamb and the cherished stepson of Edward Lamb. Shawn was known for his spirit, his smile, his strength, and the deep love he carried for his family.

Shawn was predeceased by his grandparents; his brother, Robbie Augustine; his uncles Roger Godin, John Godin, and Joey Grant; and his aunt Georgina Grant.

He is lovingly remembered by his sisters Amy Malley (Jeremy Hay) of Miramichi, NB; Julie Malley of Neguac, NB; Natasha Augustine and Alyssa Augustine, both of Fredericton NB; and his brother Thomas Augustine, also of Fredericton, NB.

He was a proud uncle to his nieces Kaylee Hay, Aurora Augustine, Eleanor Augustine, and Niomi Mazerolle, and to his nephews Kyler Augustine, Landen Hay, and Keaton Augustine.

Shawn also leaves behind his chosen siblings; James Vautour, Maisie Vautour, Laura Jenkins and Jennifer Dickson, all of Miramichi, NB. Though first cousins by birth, they were raised together as true siblings, sharing a lifelong bond built on love, loyalty, and family – relationships Shawn held close to his heart.

He will be deeply missed by his extended family and many friends. While our hearts grieve his loss, we find comfort in our faith, trusting that Shawn has been welcomed home by those who went before him, especially his brother Robbie, and now rests in the loving arms of our Lord.

At the request of the family, there was no visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Michael’s Basilica, Miramichi, NB, on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM with The Reverend Father Antonio Reyes as Celebrant.  Music for the service was provided by Jacqueline Allain and the hymns were "Here I Am Lord", "The Lord Is My Shepherd", "The Old Rugged Cross", "How Great Thou Art", "Songs Of The Angels" and "Amazing Grace".  The scripture readings were read by Marge and Wayne Jeffrey and the Prayers of the Faithful was proclaimed by Wayne Jeffrey.  Interment will be held in St. Michael’s Cemetery later in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Shawn’s memory.

Arrangements were entrusted to Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, telephone (506) 773-3492.  Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.adamsfh.ca
