Sydney A. Gibson
1945 – 2022
Sydney Ann Gibson of Black River Bridge, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on August 6, 2022, at the age of 77.
Born in Moncton, NB on May 17, 1945, she was the daughter of both the late Malcolm and Blanche Radcliffe. Sydney was an RNA from 1964 – 1980 and then later worked at Peoples Jewellers for 25 years. After retirement she enjoyed doing home care and spending time with many different people.
Sydney was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She loved everything about the outdoors especially camping with family and friends. She was truly a family oriented person and family was her whole world.
The family would like to thank the 4th floor Palliative Care Unit for all their care and compassion, they gave to Sydney. Also thanks to Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight for all of her time spent with Sydney.
Sydney is survived by her son, Michael MacAulay (Melanie) of Miramichi; two grandchildren: Lane MacAulay of Miramichi, and Reid Wrigley (Jason) of Hampton.
By request of the family, there will be no visitation or funeral service held. A private family burial was held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to NB Alzheimer’s Society, or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
