It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Tasha Nicole (Oake) Dickson, wife of James (Jimmy) Dickson, at her home in Miramichi, NB, on June 30th, 2023, at the age of 50.
Born in Fredericton, NB, on October 18th , 1972, a life lived too short, Tasha spent a lot of her time at baseball fields and basketball courts watching and cheering on her boys playing both, from the oldest to the youngest. She was their biggest cheerleader.
Tasha is survived by her husband, Jimmy; four sons: Ronnie, Cody (Taylor), David and Jesse, all of Miramichi; two grandsons: Cohen and Walker; two granddaughters: Whitney and Victoria; and father, Ronnie Malley (the only father she knew). She is also survived by her aunts: Linda, Krista, and Lee Haynes; and niece, Autumn Matchett. Tasha is predeceased by her beloved son, James Dean Dickson; grandparents, Fred and June Dembenski; and uncle Terry.
Visitation for Tasha was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, NB, on Wednesday, July 5th, 2023, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A funeral service was held at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, July 6th, 2023, at 2 PM with The Reverend David Allan as Officiant. Music ministry for the service was provided by pianist, David Mann, and the joint choir of the Loggieville-Black River Community of Faith. The hymns included "Safe in the Arms of Jesus", and "In the Bulb There Is a Flower". The Memorial Candles were lit by Cody Dickson in remembrance of Tasha's beloved son, James Dean Dickson, along with her late father-in-law Wilburn Dickson. Remembrances were shared by dear friends, Janeen Keenan, and Becky Levi. A poem was read by Janeen Keenan. The Active Pallbearers were: Jacob Colette, Cody Dickson, David Dickson, Ronnie Dickson, Jonathan McMahon, and Jesse Stemm. The Honorary Pallbearers were: Joanne Cripps, Tammy Gilliss, Krista Haynes, Janeen Keenan, Becky Levi, Jill McLenaghan, and Annie McLenaghan. Interment was in the Black River Community Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, NB Heart and Stroke, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
