In Loving Memory of Tim J. MacDonald
1965 – 2023
Timothy “Tim” John MacDonald, husband of Cathy (Cortes) MacDonald of Miramichi, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on August 31, 2023, at the age of 56.
Born in Brampton, ON, on December 29, 1965, he was the son of the late Edward and Eileen (Cook) MacDonald. His true passion was being a Paramedic for 15 years. He enjoyed being a volunteer Fire Fighter in Douglastown and being a part of the Rock & Roll Festival.
Tim is survived by his wife, Cathy (Cortes) MacDonald; one son, David MacDonald of Edmonton, AB; two step-daughters: Erika Morrison (Lucas) and Morgan Morrison (Daryk), all of Miramichi; two sisters: Kathy MacDonald of Oshawa, ON, and Darlene MacDonald of Ottawa, ON; one brother, Ken MacDonald (Michael) of Miramichi; mother-in-law, Diane Cortes (Donald) of Miramichi; one sister-in-law, Trudy Cortes of Williamstown; and one brother-in-law, Joey Cortes of Edmonton, AB; as well as nieces, nephews, and his wonderful dogs: Lily and Milo. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Keith; and sister-in-law, Janet.
Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Funeral service was held at Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 2 PM, with Pastor Paul Hambrook officiating. Prior to the service, members of Ambulance New Brunswick stood guard. Live music for the service was provided by Lee Howe. The recessional song was recorded song "Truly Madly Deeply" by Savage Garden. Words of remembrance were spoken by Kyle Enright, Erika Morrison, and Joe Donovan. At the end of the service the End of Watch Call was completed. Ambulance New Brunswick formed a Guard of Honor. Various other First Responders were in attendance as well. Interment will be in the Williamstown Country Church/Cemetery at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Miramichi SPCA, Williamstown Country Church/Cemetery or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
