Todd Roland Dickson Obituary
In Loving Memory of Todd Roland Dickson
December 24, 1968 - July 18, 2024 (age 55)
It is with broken and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Todd Roland Dickson, who tragically lost his life in an accident involving an 18-wheeler on Thursday, July 18th, 2024. His sudden passing occurred on the job in the vicinity of Slave Lake, Alberta, due to circumstances beyond his control, reminding us of life's fragility.
On Christmas Eve of 1968, Todd Roland Dickson was born in Miramichi, NB, to an excited Roland and Anna (Thompson) Dickson of Napan, NB. His four ecstatic big sisters couldn’t wait to meet their new baby brother.
Besides his beloved parents, Roland and Anna, Todd leaves behind his loving partner and best friend, Crystal Carroll; his much-loved son, Justin Dickson; and his three loving sisters: Sherry “Sher” Corkum (Calvin) of Riverview, NB, Monica (Dave Roach) of Miramichi, and Chrissy Dickson of Miramichi. He also leaves behind his niece, Jennifer; and nephews: Eric, Cole, and Daniel, who loved him very much; as well as his great-niece, Anna; and great-nephews: Grayden and Austin, all of whom he absolutely adored.
Todd is predeceased by his loving sister, Dawn Stroud (Howard).
Todd was very proud to be a Napaner and as the youngest and only boy, he was loved and spoiled immensely. A very special bond was created between mother and her only son. The biggest love of Todd’s life was his family, with the close second being anything that had a motor. This came honestly from his dear Pop. He was known to go to work with a big smile on his face and no task was ever too big. Todd loved what he did for a living and he was very good at it. That big smile and tormenting nature not only won the hearts of his big sisters but everyone he ever met and it led him to have a happy life with many life-long friendships. Todd lived his life full throttle.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the emergency responders who provided support during the accident. As well, the family would like to acknowledge the support they’ve received from Todd’s Boss, Jake at Jaymar. We are so thankful for the support that Crystal has received from Todd’s friends in Alberta. A special thank you to Todd’s nephew, Eric (living in Alberta), who worked tirelessly to coordinate arrangements to bring Todd home.
