Wayne (Chico) Kinsella Obituary

In Loving Memory of Wayne (Chico) Kinsella

1955 - 2024

Wayne (Chico) Joseph Kinsella, husband of Cindy MacDonald of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at Hospice Miramichi on February 8, 2024, at the age of 68, with family at his side.

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on September 11, 1955, he was the son of the late Robert and Maimie (Gaudet) Kinsella.

He was a Painter by trade for 50 years, and 25 years ago started his own business "Chico's Painting". His talent has touched many a home, business and schools in the Miramichi and surrounding areas. When he was not working he enjoyed watching a good game of baseball or hockey. Spending time in the garage tinkering away on something or helping out friends and neighbors made him happy. His humor and kindness towards others did not go unnoticed.

Chico is survived by his wife, Cindy MacDonald; one son, Bruce of Cochrane, AB; three grandchildren: Oliver, Ava and Ira; one sister, Betty of Idaho, USA; brother-in-laws: Irvin Pineau (Shirley) of  Medicine Hat, AB, Bliss (Rosemary), Blair (Mary), Dale (Diane), David; and sister-in-law, Cathy (Robert), all of Miramichi; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He had a special bond with his "Favorite Niece" and Nurse Lynn Lloyd also of Miramichi .  He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Shirley; and two brothers: Jimmy and Harry.

The family would like to thank the people that helped Chico in any way along his journey, including the Paramedics for the drives back and forth, the staff of the ER, 1 East, 2 West, 3 East, and Palliative for their wonderful care, as well as the Extra-Mural Program. We are so lucky to have you wonderful people in our community. The Oncology Staff of 3 West, also Dr. Watts, Dr. Haddad and Dr. Woods. We would also like to thank the Moncton City Hospital's Dr. O'Brien and the Dr. Georges Dumont's Hospital's Dr. Julie Arseneault. To the amazing staff at Hospice Miramichi, the kindness, dignity, care and compassion that was showed to  Chico and his family along with a few good laughs, we will be forever grateful.
